  • Typically feeds at night when other fish are less active.
  • Things to remember when feeding your pleco:
  • More carnivorous species need higher-protein foods such as bloodworms, shrimp pellets, krill or brine shrimp.
  • Some plecos require driftwood as part of their diet, supplying them with cellulose and lignin.
  • Raw vegetables should be anchored near the bottom of the aquarium Supplement with raw zucchini, sweet potato, carrots, lettuce, spinach or cucumbers as a treat once or twice a week. In general, plecos are opportunistic scavengers who will eat anything that comes their way. Some are more carnivorous, still others mainly eat wood fiber and the small crustaceans who live within the wood. Some species of pleco exclusively eat algae, while others eat plants. Driftwood is commonly used as a source of food, providing cellulose and lignin and enabling plecos to hide. Acrylic aquariums are not recommended for large plecos, as they will scratch the acrylic with their sharp spines and sucker mouths.
  • Décor - As plecos like to hide, caves, hollow logs or other safe hiding spaces should be provided.
  • If you are unsure of your water quality, bring a sample to Petco for free testing.

Moderate water circulation should be provided to mimic water currents found in plecos’ natural habitats. Water health - Provide proper filtration to ensure optimal water quality to help maintain health. These three addons are like my "Must have Addons" and they're really easy to understand/use/install but you can mess around with them and configurate them quite alot too.Keep in an appropriate size aquarium, from 20 gallons for smaller species to 75 gallons or more for larger species. For a healer I think there are better addons for the raidframe but for a tank the standard work really good. The best tanking addon in my opinion is Tidy Plates: Threat Plates, it makes life so much smoother as a tank, you can change it aroun with debuffs, buffs castbars etc, I love it!Īnd of course I use a boss mod such as Deadly Boss Mods.Īs for raidframes I use blizzard standard, they're simple and clean and serves a tank needs. I'm using MiirGui Texture Pack, it's just a reskin of the normal blizzard UI and I find it really clean, you can always change around your Unit Frames to where it fits you. I have also messed around ALOT with my UI, now I use a really simple and clean UI: I'm a protection warrior with 6/7 hc, have been tanking for a long time on different characters.
